Eagles knock Ti girls out of 1st place in bowling
TICONDEROGA — Ticonderoga’s Jordan McKee rolled a match-high 216-248-634 series, but it couldn’t keep the Beekmantown girls from recording a 4-0 shutout of the previously first-place Sentinels in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling on Thursday afternoon.
Taylor Lavalley led the Eagles (30-2), who took over first place, with a 189-194-549 series, and Harley Wells added a 207 game and 530 triple.
Beekmantown won the first game by 16 pins and the third game by 11 pins over the Sentinels (28-4), who dropped their first games of the season.
Ryan Douglas tossed a 227-242-641 series, Matt Dwyer a 277 game and 634 triple, Dennon Walantus a 234-606 and Andrew Roberts a 215-205-603 as the first-place Beekmantown boys blanked Ticonderoga.
Cole Frasier paced the Sentinels with a 234 game and 600 series, while Howard Fuller added a 248 game and 588 triple.

ROUSES POINT — Chris Kokes rolled a 212-253-607 series at Bowl Mart Lanes to lead the Northeastern Clinton boys to their shutout.
Matt Jolicoeur added a 228 game and 565 triple for the Cougars, while Joey Robert chipped with a 560 set.
Jonathan Bowman paced the Indians with a match-high 234-228-643 and Kyle Mendofik added a 200 game.
The Northeastern Clinton and Peru girls split four points, with Brittany Bushey’s 167 game and 455 series high for the Indians. Brianna Smith tossed a 422 triple and Maddie Dumas a 420 for the Cougars.
