Hornets sweep Vikings in bowling

MINEVILLE — Josh Shaffer tossed a 215-215-604 series at Mineville Lanes on Thursday to lead the Plattsburgh High boys to a 7-3 victory over Moriah in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference bowling.

Henry Hill added a 190-201-565 for the Hornets. Tom Rancour’s 194 game and 498 triple were high for the Vikings, while Dillon Adkins chipped in with a 190 game and a 444 series.

The Plattsburgh girls swept all four points, with Emily Rohrig leading the way with a 470 triple and Brooke Marbut next with a 430.

Desiree Fleming’s 313 series was high for Moriah.
