PLATTSBURGH — Chateaugay's Hannah Cook, Co-Player of the Year in Class D girls' soccer, leads 29 area athletes from football, soccer, cross country and volleyball on All-State team.

The John J. Herbert All-Academic team for the fall season has been announced.

PLATTSBURGH — Eagles' Shannon Ryan is named Most Valuable Player for the 2012 season.

Kyle McCarthy was named MVP, while his coach, Dale Hawksby, earned the Coach of the Year award.

State-champion Chazy and Elizabethtown-Lewis each had four players land on the First-Team in Division II All-Stars, while Northern Adirondack had two selected.

Gabe Macey was one of two Crown Point players to make theNSL Division III boys' soccer All-Stars First Team.

Peru girls have six selected, while Beekmantown, Ticonderoga and Saranac boys each have three.

Northeastern Clinton had the Coach of the Year and Most Valuable Player selected from its girls' soccer team. Plattsburgh, Beekmantown and Saranac were also well represented.

Elizabethtown-Lewis had three players selected to the First-Team All-Star squad in NSL Div. II girls' soccer. Chazy, Seton Catholic and Lake Placid each had two players selected.
