Duffy leads NCCS past Plattsburgh in golf

PLATTSBURGH — Alex Duffy fired a 43 to lead the Northeastern Clinton to a 4-2 win over Plattsburgh High in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference golf Tuesday in windy conditions at Bluff Point Golf Resort.

Zach Young shot a 48 as he earned a win for the Cougars, and Chris Kokes and Cody Young also had victories.

T. J. LaPoint had Plattsburgh’s best round with a 47 as he claimed match No. 3, and Nick Dodd picked up the Hornets’ other win in the first match.

PORT HENRY — Eighth grader Kyle Wilson carded a 42 to claim medalist honors and lead the Vikings to a victory.

Dylan Scozzafava shot a 45 to win match No. 1 for Moriah, while Joe Stahl, Derek Brassard, Wesley Belzer and Travis Nephew also won.

Tyler Jordan and Karney Manning had Ticonderoga’s best rounds, each firing a 49.

PERU — Kiefer Casler recorded a 45 for the low round of the day as the Blue Bombers took all six matches from the Knights.

Miles Lussi shot a 47 for Lake Placid. Pat Kane, Lucas Strack, Ryan Kane and Troy Jacques also earned victories.
