Moriah doubles up AuSable in golf

PORT HENRY — Derek Brassard carded a 40 to lead Moriah past AuSable Valley, 4-2, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference golf Monday.

Brassard got past Ridge Perkett at the No. 1 slot.

Kyle Wilson, Travis Nephew and Zach Beeman were each winners for the Vikings.

The Patriots’ Nate Devins shot the low score of the day with a 38 to capture his match in the No. 4 slot against Wesley Belzer.

Riley Taylor added AuSable Valley’s second win.

PLATTSBURGH — Jordan Guay and Nick Dodd had a duel in the No. 1 slot Monday.

Dodd shot a career-low 37, but Guay did him one better with an even-par 36 for the victory as the Indians knocked off the Hornets.

Christian Mattila, Tyler Lemza, Gavin Plimpton and Kyle Miller were all winners for Peru.

Andre Poirier won the lone match of the day for Plattsburgh.

Tyler Begor shot a 50 to lead the way for Beekmantown.

Joey Lafranca shot a low 52 for Seton Catholic.

Doug LeVien, Boyce Rawson and Caleb Denton each picked up wins for the Lions.

Walker Lobdell and Tyler Bridge each won their matches for the Warriors.
