NEW YORK CITY — Northeastern Clinton’s Mallory Honan competed in the New Balance Indoor Track and Field Nationals held at the Armory in New York City over the weekend.
Honan finished second in her heat in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.14. She tied for 17th out of 69 girls in the merge of all the heats.
She then finished sixth in the triple jump in her heat, with a mark of 36 feet, three inches. Honan was 14th out of 37 jumpers in the merge.
Honan is coming off a year where she broke several Section VII records, including the long jump, triple jump and the 55-meter hurdle record numerous times. She also broke her own record in the NYSPHSAA meet with a score of 8.41 FAT.
